SIPHO Mabuse’s Welcome Address Speech 21 March 2013
Sipho “Hotstix” Mabuse opening welcome speech at Music Exchange 2013 Annual Music Conference Day 1—21 March 2013
Honoured guests, Ladies and Gentlemen, Lest we forget, May this day 21 March 2013, whatever we choose to call it, be a reminder of how the past should never be a barometer of how humans should engage with each other. May this day remind us who are gathered here, what our purpose for gathering is. As we deliberate, we must reflect and be conscious of the legacy Music Exchange seeks to and must leave for future generations.
May the deprivation of the past NOT be cast upon the young who wish to pursue music as a Career. May Music Exchange be an experimental; joyful journey that will forever be etched in memory of goodwill and goodness of the Human Spirit of those who sought to bequeath to us a future of what this Beautiful country of ours can be.
To all the great panelists, past and present gifted with RESILIENCE and other ATTRIBUTES to be where you are, share the experience of the journeys you had undertaken to attain the greatness brought upon you , we are All Honored to be in Such presence of GREATNESS!!!!!!!!
Lest we forget, May we be proud that the future will not ask, WHERE were you and What did you do?
